You don’t need to be formally qualified to use a ladder, but you do have to be competent. This Ladder Safety Course has been created to help strengthen the necessary skills and knowledge you need to use ladders safely. There are various types of ladders and you need to make sure that you are picking up the right one for the situation. As well as the set up of a ladder, you’ll also need to consider how you dismantle and carry them from location to location. It’s split into four short sections, with each one looking at the Ladder Safety Steps – Ladder Selection, Ladder safety Pre-Check procedures, Ladder Setup and Ladder Use.
